I think you have a great point, and my attempt to explain my stance on this was by my analogy to architecture. I don’t live in a black and white world, I like to bring gray into style. So, I think I could agree. It’s not always one or the other. Though certain times may cause for just one or the other or both, etc, it’s mainly about needing to know which hat or HATS, one needs and when.

Often times, wearing too many hats at one time can cause confusion or make one lose focus, so, I’ll be curious to see what other readers think as well.

And, when it’s all said and done, it’s about the people involved and each person is different, brings a unique viewpoint and is gifted with individual gifts, skills and talents.

Naturally, I have to object to this “art”/”science” dichotomy. I agree that both skill sets are necessary – but I hate to think we can only be using one at a time. 🙂
