The success of the Obama Campaign will be fodder for the next century’s dissertations, there is so much to analyze. I’m personally still intrigued by what the campaign did with social media, because I don’t think that we have fully understood *that* yet.
There are two elements of the Campaign that stuck me as different and important. One was the way that the campaign helped many of us feel like we were no longer alone in our views and values. The other is that the Campaign asked people to ‘come out’ and share themselves.
I’ve blogged about both of these elements (from a non-expert view on social media) and I’d be really interested in your thoughts on these ideas. The first is <a href=”http://authenticorganizations.com/harquail/2008/09/23/obamas-website-made-me-cry/” and the second is <a href=”http://authenticorganizations.com/harquail/2008/11/05/the-secret-to-obamas-social-media-success-they-were-one-step-behind/ “.
