For example, a peer of mine was recently commenting on how pregnancy isn’t covered by some insurance companies as it is stated as a ‘pre-existing condition.’ It’s interesting how subtle some modern-day discrimination can be.
My aim in the post was not to spark a political mantra or turn this blog into a sounding ground, but merely to add another way how we as social marketers and nonprofiteers can learn from this debate:
Does being strategic in marketing take more time, research and planning? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Does it make it harder? Yes. Do social marketers and non-profit marketers face more barriers and challenges? Yes. Is this why we love our jobs? Yes. (though I’m sure we wouldn’t mind a few less challenges every once and awhile.) =)
So, let’s get to the ground running!
