My own experience on FB is weariness and bewilderment for so much trivial information. I actually spend most of my time on FB DELETING dumb posts. But once in a while I do get to connect with old friends I never get to see–or engage in some interesting discussion on a topic I care about. Best of all, I might rediscover a friend I haven’t heard from in decades. If there were a better way of sifting the wheat from the chaff, FB might take on more meaning and actually make me feel more connected. But I’ll continue to see actual connections (a personal phone call, a visit, even a personal email) as more meaningful connections.
