Disclosure
In a desire to be as open and transparent as possible, I want to offer full disclosure of my online activity, work and relationships. I’ve customized this to work for me, let me know if it doesn’t work for you.

DISCLOSURE
- I am the sole author, creator, community manager, and late-night owl who operates this blog unless otherwise communicated in individual blog posts.
- Currently, I have no relationships with any advertisers for the blog. If this changes, I will let you know.
- This is my content and my voice based on my experiences, observations and educational training. I work to bring the best journalistic principles to my writing (after all, I did go to J-School).
- I also admit that I am influenced by my background, my interests, the people I surround myself with, and you, the reader. I look forward to sharing myself with you and getting to know you even more. If you want to have a conversation on ‘objectivity,’ catch me here–> @Socialbttrfly. Who knows, it could be a great blog post.
- I am not compensated to provide opinions on products, services, websites and various other topics. If I endorse a certain topic, product or service area, it will be because I believe, based on my experience and knowledge at that time, that they are worthy of your time and attention.
- Course, I’m human, and I change and make mistakes…guess that’s life for you. So, bear with me as we ebb and flow here together.
RELATIONSHIPS

- My blog is developed on Wordpress.org, and I use BlueHost as my (well) host.
- I am a member of Amazon’s Associates program.
MY CURRENT GIG
Interactive Communications Manager at IQ Solutions, Inc.
IQ Solutions is a health communications and health IT company that works primarily with public health agencies, non-profits and foundations. Though it’s a matrix environment, I currently serve as our Interactive Communications Manager–working to fuse social marketing and social media.
Though I lead a variety of projects, and help business development efforts, there are a few contracts where my online emphasis is greater:
1. The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
- Work on and help lead social media outreach, communications and strategy across 5 Web sites including: healthfinder.gov, healthypeople.gov, health.gov, healthierus.gov, and ODPHP.
- Co-Moderate @healthfinder (feel free to let us know how we’re doing).
2. The National Institute on Drug Abuse, within the National Institutes of Health in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
- Work on and help lead social media outreach, communications and strategy across NIDA’s Web sites including: NIDA for Teens, Drugs+HIV> Learn the Link and the NIDA Goes Back to School Campaign.
- Led the Bloggers Unite for World AIDS Day 2008 collaborative effort.
- Led the development and launch of the Sara Bellum Blog on IQ’s side working with the great folks in NIDA’s Office of Science Policy.
3. The Sister to Sister Foundation
- Advised online community creation/development and Web site re-design.
- Co-led interactive marketing and outreach efforts.
(My view: I like to think of us as a collaborative extension to our clients, as we are consultants who work alongside them guiding strategy and direction, not just a vendor and not just a contractor.)
